We flew from Sydney to Ayers Rock (Uluru) in the morning and began our exploration of the Australian outback...
This was our first view of Ayers Rock which is a very special religous sight to the Aboriginal people. They would prefer that we quietly and respectfully visit the rock and not climb it, but if you know the Johnson family at all we couldn't help ourselves and we quietly and respectfully climbed the heck out of that rock! ;)
This is Kata Juta off in the distance - where we visited on our second day in the Outback.

This pictures really shows how steep this rock is in some parts... flat horizon with the red rock incline behind me. There were things to grab onto in case you slip...
