Melbourne - Day 1

We have a fab view of Melbourne from our 19th floor apartment rented on Air B&B!

Our first walk into the city of Melbourne over the Yarra River.  It was a pretty chilly day in Melbourne.  We have had to bundle up, but as its 100 degrees at home with humidity, we are not complaining!

A quaint alleyway of hidden treasures - food, shopping and entertainment...

Like these gents...

I haven't travelled as much as some but I've always found the architecture in older cities enthralling.... Cathedrals are built with reverence and care and hold so much meaning to those who designed and built - we visited two such cathedrals today...

St Pauls Cathedral

St Patrick's Cathedral

We walked the city, had lunch and then ended up at the Melbourne Museum.  A few hours spent in Melbourne's Museum with Mel the tour guide...

A walk home, visit to Cook's Cottage in Fitzgerald Park and a Nutella strawberry pizza off a food truck and that's what we will call another great day!!!
