A LONG day of travel... Flight from Adelaide to Cairnes with a quick stop in Brisbane followed by a car ride from Cairnes to Port Douglas. Leaves us feeling and looking a bit exhausted...
BUT our Air B&B rental home is amazing and we are looking forward to our next adventure in Queensland! Our favorite house - perfect vacation home for in the tropics... lots of windows, doors that completely open for full ventilation.... The first few days were rainy and humid, locals told us that the rain and humidity is not their normal winter weather... We had a great time in the rain and shine.
This is a hummingbird nest right out our door. We did have one in the garage too that had a momma and her egg in it... She had made that nest on the garage door's disconnecting cord (pull it to manually work the door)... she went for a ride everytime we opened the door. We were all so worried about her and her baby...
