Alabama - Cheaha State Park

Our favorite site - Cheaha State Park.  This state park was at the site of the highest point in Alabama - Cheaha Mountain - 2407'.  Our campsite was perfect - right at the base of the high point and next to a a swing set.  By this point in our trip, the girls had invented the game "highpointers".  We watched as they scrambled around the campsite climbing on everything and say they were at the high point.  A game their father was extremely proud to see them playin.  ;)

This was the only highpoint with the typical marker we like to look for and photograph

Silly gooses.

Sisters.

Here we also found a great hike to Cheaha Falls...  Our hound dog, Sierra, enjoyed her spring break as much or more as we all did.  She travelled SO well.

The state park was amazing - camping, hiking, hotel, cabins, restaurant, etc...  It had almost everything you could need.  We went out to dinner - the ONLY time we ate out the whole trip ;) - and the view was way better than the food, but the view was right over the edge of the mountains - gorgeous...

After dinner, we took a walk and watched the sun set from the top of Alabama.
