Natural Bridge Caverns

These caverns were VERY cool.  We highly recommend visiting the Natural Bridge Caverns.  They were amazing and definitely worth the stop.  We got there around 2pm on a very busy Spring Break day and we were only able to see one of the caverns.  Apparently there are 2 caverns and the second cavern had guided tours that were sold out by the time we got there.    The name comes from the Natural Bridge formed above the entrance to the cavern.  The tour of the cavern is about 1/2 mile long and takes you to approx 180' below the surface.  There is also an Animal Park near the caverns where you can see zebra, ostrich and other exotic animals and feed some of them... that place looked super popular and had cars lined up to get in... we will have to go back for that one!

All of these beautiful formations have names, but I can't remember any of them.  These are a few of my favorites... there were so many, but only a few of the pictures came out decent as it was dark and my camera and I didn't know what we were doing!  The cavern is very active so some of the formations look shiny because they are wet, but some of them actually sparkled.  Beautiful!
