My First Baby Turns 7!!!

WOW!  Who knew time flew like this?  Probably most parents know, right?!?  But we still are shocked when yet another year flies right by us and our babies get older and older!!! 

Taylor Lynn is 7 years old.  What are 7 year old's like?  Well, this 7 year old...

• is a straight A student - lowest grade is a 96
• has lost 8 teeth
• weighs 58lbs (50th percentile) and is  52.5" tall (90th percentile)
• plays soccer, does gymnastics and swims
• reads chapter books (Box Car Children and Junie B Jones are her favs - looking forward to exploring more chapter books)
• can kneeboard behind the boat
• loves to laugh, giggle and tease
• is outgoing and social
• is caring, nurturing and a natural teacher/encourager

I couldn't be prouder of her and am waiting to see what her 7th year has in store for us!  I love you so dearly, Taylor.  Your dad and I are proud of who you are!

7 year olds like electric scooters too...  During school, they were discussing needs/wants and Taylor wrote me this letter explaining why she "needed" and electric scooter and what she would do for me if we got her one.  It was a tempting argument, but at that moment, I knew what we would get her for her birthday.

Needless to say, it's a hit!

7 year olds also like roller skating and roller blading.  Taylor outgrew her roller skates and some friends were kind enough to give Taylor brand new roller blades.  She has been practicing in the house around my "circle" - through the kitchen, dining room and living area - it is exactly like a roller rink only about 50 times smaller and with more obstacles...  She had a roller skating party at Sk8 Town and she roller bladed for 2 1/2 hours... I was exhausted just watching them.
