Second Days of School

After those first few days - who would have imagined we could have any more excitement?!  But we did.  Taylor's first grade teacher was moved to second grade.  :(  After all that bonding Mrs Price and I did waiting for her to show up from her extra long bus ride, I really had gotten to like her.  AND Taylor was adoring her too.  It broke my heart to hear they were moving her.  I have been assured that this teacher is equally as awesome, but I can't help but be a little excited for 2nd grade as I am going to let them know we really would like Mrs Price back -- and I fully intend to use guilt.

Meanwhile, in 4 year old class - Aubrey has informed me it is 4 year old class and NOT preschool - Aubrey had a rough day  as she didn't know what a rectangle was.  I guess it shook her up pretty bad.  :)  She knew all shapes and colors except that rectange.  A special note came home saying she was upset not to know rectangles and her teacher had to explain to her that school is where you go to learn... I guess Aubrey was not aware of that.  I think Aubrey thought it was where she goes to chase "Funny Luke" around the playground.  ;)
