Via Colori!

Today was an adventure day!  We girls set out for downtown Houston - not normally done without the Daddy in tow... but I decided it was high time we get some culture!  So off we went!  Via Colori is an awesome event put on by The Center for Hearing and Speech.  There were hundreds of artists doing huge works of art in pastel on the streets of downtown.  Here are some of my favs!

Pretty amazing stuff!

But most amazing to me was my daughters' square - for $10 they got their very own square and their very own set of pastels and we split it right down the middle and they made this masterpiece...
I know!  It's gorgeous!
The artistic process -
Taylor picked up the "smoothing" technic from watching the artists
Aubrey quickly made good use of each pastel!
So many colors to choose from...
What a MESS!  They assured me it's washable!

And, of course, the day is not complete without a little dancing - courtesy of Radio Disney...
yaaaaaaaaaa... its a party in the USA!
