Weeeee!!!!!!! Splashtown!

Aunt Trish and Uncle Tom are here and we have been having a BLAST! 

We took them to Splashtown (our very first time to a waterpark) and the Johnson girls suprised us all by their bravery in doing all sorts of different slides.  We started off with slides that had two/three people to a tube to make sure everyone was having fun.  Sure enough... no problems there.  So we moved to single tubes.  I sent myself down first so I could get Aubrey when she came out if there was an issue... Aunt Trish sent her down from the top.  This is her first ride in a single tube and she looked so tiny on the tube... She told Aunt Trish "don't let me go down backwards".  So Aunt Trish dutifully put her in forward - and as soon as she got to the mouth of the slide the tube swung her around and backwards she went!  It was tunnels and pitch black and as I went down, I thought OH NO, what have I done to my baby...  But out she popped, saying she had fun, but did not want to do it again.  Taylor on the other hand got bored with tubes and wanted to do one that did the toilet bowl action... you slide in a steep tube into a giant bowl and it sends you around in circles until you flush out the bottom into an 8 ft deep pool of water.  I worried, once again, that this may be too much and waited at the bottom, while Uncle Tom sent her down.  I see this little thing upside down pop out the bottom of the bowl... up she comes smiling... "Mom, I came out upside down!"  I know you did, honey...

Our last slide of the day was the one I thought Aubrey might not like - but she was determined to ride as she had sat out a few slides that were 48" only - she's about 43-44".  This was a racing slide where we all went through different tunnels and then zoom down a big hill.  Same thing... I start her off on her mat and then jump on mine and race down to make sure she makes it okay.  LOVED it, here's a video of her second time - racing Uncle Tom, Aunt Trish and Taylor.
